DUKE ENGAGE ACADEMY

The DukeEngage Zhuhai 2019 group participated in a two day training session to prepare ourselves for our experience this summer. At the academy, we learned about how to interact with students in the classroom, how to form authentic relationships, how to take ethical photos and videos, and how to check our assumptions and consider the dynamics of another culture among other useful skills. We also had some group time to prepare our performance (we made a group dance)! We now feel more prepared to engage with the Zhuahi No. 9 Students this summer!

Our first FULL group picture on Day 1 of the DukeEngage Academy! We had two dinners at Hsiaomei's room throughout the previous semester, but the full group was never able to attend either dinner.
